This bike has a Hell of a past. It lived many lives and has eaten many miles. It even did a stint in Hollywood. But who didn't back then.
If you want the full history, be sure to clear your schedule. Between the owner's swashbuckling stories of running Harley parts, and his encyclopedic knowledge of vintage Harley lore, you'll want to absorb every word.
This bike is better than a needle-in-a-haystack "barn find" because you won't have to evict any critters from the exhaust pipes or engine. When it wasn't being ridden by its owner, it spent its days in the garage. Sure it needs some detailing, but don't we all?
Here are some of the basics of this truly one-of-a-kind '48-style Harley panhead:
- Original frame and tool box mount
- Knucklehead springer
- Heads are late model (’64) and have less than 1,000 miles on them
- 1950 engine cases
- Original handle bars
- Late OEM repro front fender
- Original rear fender
- Original Mexican tires from 1950. Still in great shape
- Seat was re-covered
- Late model hi-flow cast iron oil pump (’64-65)
- Built in Lakewood, CA
- This bike was featured in the insane 80's biker flick "Streets of Fire"
- According to the owner: "It's a hell of a runner!"
- Currently garaged in Arkansas
